Hi there. My name is Irvin Lin and I’m a graphic designer and photographer. I specialize in print, packaging, environmental and logo/identity work. Most of the work I do revolves around food, as that’s one of my big passions in life. In fact, you can bounce over to my food blog to see what I mean.
However, you probably aren’t here to look at my baked goods or to find a new recipe for crazy cakes. You need a designer who will understand your needs and sensibilities and who has the experience to understand that design isn’t just about looks, it’s about concept and an underlying idea. Feel free to explore my portfolio which has samples of some of the work that I’ve done in the past 20 years (yeah, I’m older than I look).
I’ve won numerous awards for my designs (as well as my baking and food blog) and I’ve worked with some of the top brands (including Ben & Jerry’s, Wendy’s, Chili’s, Microsoft, Sony Playstation, Cost Plus World Market) as well as smaller independent brands. I’m also a sought after speaker on design, blogging and social media. I’ve spoken the International Association of Culinary Professionals about Pinterest as well as several times at BlogHer Food conference about branding, marketing and graphic design for food bloggers as well as social media and photography and mobile development for bloggers. I’ve spoke at Foodbuzz Fest on social media, The Roger Smith Cookbook conference on the subject of working with food bloggers, and the inaugural The Food and Wine Conference on photography. Right now I’m writing and photographing my first cookbook to be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
